AGNES is being filmed!
Austin Bennett (Level 4) ~ 6/29/2012 12:12 AM
A film professor from Kentucky asked if he could produce AGNES with one of his classes this semester! Filming won't start until September. This is my first produced script in five or so years, since Souvenir.
I looked at the school's website and it is a private Christian college. It's definitely a good fit. Agnes is a nice, old Christian women.

Right on, Austin. Congrats, man!
Derek Collins (Level 4) ~ 6/29/2012 6:09 AM
That is really awesome. Congrats! Out if curiosity did the professor find your script on this site?
Austin Bennett (Level 4) ~ 6/29/2012 11:56 AM
He found it on simply scripts, according to his first email.

Found out today that the cast and location are locked. Filming is on October 27 and the director will email me behind the scenes pictures shortly afterward.
COLOR ME STOKED!

Congratulation! I look forward in seeing this. Last year, I didn't see any benefit of watching these films in Movie Poet's film contest. Then watching it increasingly enticed my interest to watch movies I previously read based on the screenplay.

I remember reading this over at SS. It was my first review ever and was probably the shittiest bit of feedback I've ever given :P Might go back and give some more feedback.
Still a great script, so I'm looking forward to seeing this one produced... If we get to see it, of course...
Austin Bennett (Level 4) ~ 10/12/2012 2:16 PM
I know the director wants to show it at festivals, so I doubt I'll be able to post it online.
Thanks for all the support :D

"I know the director wants to show it at festivals, so I doubt I'll be able to post it online."
Try and get the director to make a quick trip to New Zealand. We have practically no film industry *cough* ... I mean a great, thriving film industry.

I'm stoked for you, Austin. Hopefully you can email some pix to people once you get them.

TODAY'S THE DAY!
The wait is going to kill me!
Reginald McGhee (Level 0) ~ 10/28/2012 1:07 AM
Wow, I didn't think that filmmakers existed in Kentucky. Perhaps, I live in Kentucky and I can't recall anyone mentioning about a filmmaker. I guess Kentucky isn't a poor state after all.
lol, I'm joking on that last part.
Austin Bennett (Level 4) ~ 10/28/2012 4:17 PM
It's being produced by a film professor at Campbellsville University.

Got an update today. The guy playing Danny called and said he was sick, so they had to scramble and find another actor. They were a few hours late shooting, but he said they got it all done. No pictures, yet, but he's editing the footage now.
If the actor was seriously sick, then I hope he feels better but something tells me he bailed at the last minute.
He said they found another actor through a community theatre director.

So it was filmed. Should I wait and enter it in the short film contest, if there is one, or can I show it here and then post it again?
How's that work?
Rich Keel (Level 4) ~ 11/2/2012 11:28 AM
You can show it before hand but I feel I get better reviews when it is fresh to them :) Where as watching a second or third time they tend to notice flaws :) Congrats on the film, by the way!
