Biography: I'm currently a professional magazine writer. I have written four feature-length screenplays and I am now currently working on my fifth and sixth projects.
I also have plans to turn my epic fantasy screenplay into a graphic novel and hopefully spin it off into a franchise.
I'm 32 (2007), Asian and love watching sci-fi, fantasy and larger-than-life medieval stories. Faves include LOTR trilogies, the Matrix, Star Wars, Braveheart, Gladiator and big epic stories. I also love stories with twist endings, such as The Sixth Sense and The Unusual Suspects. Most of my screenplays explore elements of fantasy or a great sense of wonder, with heavy doses of human drama (even in a fantasy setting) and possibly major twist endings.
A lot of people commented that I write from a very dark place. I suppose it's just the way I brood over my concepts and simmer them down to their most basic, raw and psychological matter. I think at the heart of all stories, be it whimsical fantasy adventure or a gory, horror thriller, as long as we anchor our plots to human emotions like love, trust, betrayal and hope, the story should at least stay afloat. At least, that's what I think.
