Web Site: jacobschantz.comBiography: I'm an aspring filmaker who was fired from his full-time job at a law firm, and now a graduate of Art Institute, CA in Sacramento for Digital Film Making and Video Production.
I'm no longer a file clerk, nor do I have plans to go back, so I guess my days of being Harvey Pekar are over.
I quit when my reviews were considered too harsh after two months of being an active member and reviewing almost every script in both months when I participated.
I'm not promising to be less harsh from now on; in fact, I'm going to be as honest as I can be until my profile's deleted, and I would ask the same of anyone. How can we ever get thick skin and grow if no one tells us the truth as they see it?
Screenwriting may be done in the privacy of our own personal dungeons, but it's meant to evolve past that stage and into a realm of public viewing.
The only thing that hurts worse than hearing an audience groan through your movie is knowing you could've taken a few simple steps to make it better.
Please be as honest and direct with me as I plan to be with you so that we may grow together.
