Biography: A member of the Dramatists Guild and the Mystery Writers of America, Mr. Landau is an award winning and published playwright and screenwriter. In theater, Mr. Landau received the Blackburn Award for Excellence in Playwriting for his hard-boiled romantic comedy "Deep Six Holiday", which also won the TownSquare Playhouse New Play contest. His screenplay "Seance" won first place in Niad Management's "Hollywood Screenwriter" competition and his TV series proposal "Murder to Go" won first place in the 2003 People's Pilot contest. In film, Mr. Landau has worked as a story consultant for CBS and Westside Pictures as well as developing treatments for various independent film companies. His screenwriting/directing credits include "Murder at Cafe Noir" - an interactive feature film (based on his popular play) which was a Feature Film Winner at the Telluride Indiefest and won the Emerging Filmmaker Award from the Atlantic City Film festival, “The Remake” - an internet distributed interactive comedy film for Boost Video, "Stab in the Dark" - interactive DVD mystery party game disturbed by Drew’s Famous Entertainment, “TV Psychic” – an interactive DVD psychic game disturbed by Drew’s Famous Entertainment and several industrial videos. Other writer credits include "Top Fly" for Doug Trumbell's RideFilms and "Jokers Wild", a ten minute mystery produced by Mallinson Media for A&E's Short Subjects and winner of the 1984 Chris Award from the Columbus International Film Festival. He teaches screenwriting and film at Fairleigh Dickinson University, has written articles for Script Magazine and Screenwriters Monthly Magazine, and holds an MFA in Screenwriting.
